He Knows My Name

by Sandy Wakefield

Day 1

Isaiah 41:14-15 KJV

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.  Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth; thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

Isaiah 41:14-15 MSG

“Do you feel like a lowly worm, Jacob?  Don’t be afraid.  Feel like a fragile insect, Israel?  I’ll help you. I, God, want to reassure you.  The God who buys you back, The Holy of Israel.  I’m transforming you from worm to harrow, from insect to iron.

Verse 16 – But you’ll be confident and exuberant, expansive in The Holy of Israel!

Your enemies many times come in like a flood.  As I shame them and confound them, they will become as nothing.  However, I will make you iron in these processes.  I will make you an instrument.  You shall stand and the evil will fall away.  Sometimes, in the good times, you forget there are enemies to fight.  They have been driven away by Me, scattered.  Rejoice in those times of peace.  You will fight battles until you come home to be with Me.  Keep that in mind.  Peaceful times are times of refreshing.  But stay close to Me.  Do not wander.  Stay strong.  I’ve made you iron for a reason.  There will be other battles.  Stand firm.  Find your confidence in Me, nowhere else.  Keep your eyes open, especially your spiritual ones.  This is the difference between maturity and lax.

Day 2

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23 MSG

But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard – things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity.  We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.  We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

Are these fruits operating in your life?  When you are frustrated that the fruits are not evident in you, take time to draw closer to Me.  This is so that I can manifest Myself, My nature, in you.  You will never have these fruits without a close relationship with Me.  Prayer and reading the Word draws you close.  So, when you pray for the fruits, pray, “God. Would you manifest yourself as patience in me today?”  “God. I need peace. Would you manifest yourself today in me as peace?”  I created you for this very thing.  My fruits – My nature – manifested through you – to accomplish great things.  This includes soul winning. When people see these fruits in you, My nature evident in you, you will naturally draw them to you.  They will want to know why you have such peace, why you are able to be loyal, why you are able to be patient in all seasons.  I want you to reach them for Me.  Encouraging them that this life is available to them as well, through repentance of sin, and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  This is why He died.  This is why He rose again.

Day 3

Luke 22:42 KJV

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Luke 22:42 MSG

He pulled away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed, “Father, remove this cup from me.  But please, not what I want.  What do you want?” At once an angel from heaven was at his side strengthening him.  He prayed on all the harder.  Sweat, wrung from him like drops of blood, poured off his face.

~~~~~~~
Jesus knew the price of His obedience in this situation.  He knew the sacrifice and the cost involved in His own personal pain on the cross.  When I ask of you, do you just do what you want, when you want, with no thought of what I want?  Somewhere you need to come to a place where you just do what is right, where you do what I’ve asked.  At once the angels responded to Jesus’ request for strength, read the scripture.  You don’t wait on angels anymore.  My Spirit dwells in you for this purpose.  Your strength comes from the Holy Spirit, immediately.  Do you use that strength to enter farther and more fervently into the battles?   Prayers before you drift off to sleep with a blanket over your head sound nice, and many times they will help your rest.  However, that’s not the battle I speak of here.  Whispered prayers are lovely.  However, that’s not spiritual warfare at its best.  Jesus prayed so fervently that He sweated drops of blood.  What is your physical reaction when you contend in the spiritual?  Or is there any? James’ knees were so worn from contending that his friends lovingly called him ‘camel knees’.  Hannah’s pastor was so amazed at her fervency at the altar that he thought she had been drinking.  Jesus pulled away, knelt, and got into prayer.  Do you?
James 4:10 MSG
Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet.
Day 4
Psalms 96:5-6 MSG
God made the heavens –
Royal splendor radiates from him,
A powerful beauty sets him apart.
Psalms 96:5-6 KJV
For all the gods of the nations are idols; but the Lord made the heavens.
Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Praise and worship changes things.  When you don’t understand exactly how, open the Psalms.  David moved My heart, and My hand on many occasions with simple praise and worship.  He understood the spiritual dynamics of this.  This pulls down strongholds the enemy has built between us.  This ushers in My presence and brings restoration to your soul and to your faith.  When you don’t know how, simply read the Psalms out loud.  The spoken word is powerful.  Get to know Me.  The Psalms are full of My character and nature, purely so that you are able to draw near to Me.
Day 5
Proverbs 14:1 KJV
Every wise woman buildeth her house;
but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Proverbs 14:1 MSG
Lady Wisdom builds a lovely home;
Sir Fool comes along and tears it down brick by brick.
~~~~~~~

Many a woman has destroyed her home in anger and frustration.  Wisdom should always overcome raw emotions.  If you will pray for wisdom, the wisdom that comes from Me, this will be what changes your control over your emotions.  Many a day they run wild because of lack of wisdom.  Wisdom builds a network of habits that make the simple things run and work throughout your day.  Without these habits, confusion will ensue.  Usually, it will come in the form of lost time, lost confidence in yourself, or lost confidence in others. Then – whoops – here comes confusion.  The devil is a master at igniting a woman’s emotions in the time of chaos.  If you would but remember to look up to Me and take time in the midst of chaos to ask Me for help, I will help.  Start your mornings with prayer, no matter what distraction comes your way.  If you come near to Me in the mornings, I will make a straight path in your day and ease your load. This will give you insight to build, rather than pulling your home down in error.  You will rest at the end of your day in a lovely home, and so will those who share it.  I want to give you that, I also want to give your family that.

Day 7

Psalms 18:28. KJV

For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

In the darkness of trials, because they do seem very dark sometimes, I will bring the light.  Look past them, and see Me.  Look around them, and see Me.  Hide yourself in My shadow.  I will place a wing about you and carry you through them.  I am your light.  I am the light of the world.  When I say that, it is because it is true.  The light of the sun outside goes down at the end of the day.  When the storms come, the clouds gather, the darkness and the dimness ensue.  My light never goes out.  The darkness is the enemy’s distraction from Me.  Look past it.  I am here.

Day 6

Proverbs 14:2  MSG

An honest life shows respect for God;

A degenerate life is a slap in his face.

KJV

He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord;

but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

When you display to the world a respect and honor for Me, you turn heads.  Never underestimate the power of your testimony of a changed life through Jesus Christ.  Do your best to keep your testimony amongst others.  Degenerates, those who ignore My Word, especially those that call themselves Christians, bring dishonor to Me.  You have struggles, you have challenges, bring them to Me, so that I can help you be victorious over them.  Obey Me, trust Me, and watch how I move in your life.  And the ones who turned their heads in the first place?  They will see as well.  Be the overcomer.  That brings Me glory.  That brings Me joy.  That brings you joy as well.
